Here, let's talk about the main reasons for the high temperature of the diesel engine, and take preventive and improvement measures.
If the diesel engine is overloaded for a long time, it will increase its fuel consumption and heat load, resulting in the phenomenon of excessive water temperature. For this reason, the diesel engine should be prevented from overloading for a long time.
2.Check the coolant level:
Regularly check the amount of coolant in the radiator and expansion tank, and replenish it in time when the liquid level is low. Because if there is a lack of coolant in the diesel engine cooling system, it will affect the heat dissipation effect of the diesel engine, resulting in high temperature of the diesel engine.
3.Avoid mutual interference of heat sinks:
If the hydraulic oil radiator and the water radiator are placed in tandem, when the temperature of the hydraulic oil is high, the temperature of the cold air on the air inlet side of the water radiator will be high, which will affect the heat dissipation of the water radiator. In this regard, the heat dissipation of the hydraulic system should be overhauled to reduce the influence of the hydraulic oil radiator on the poor heat dissipation of the water radiator of the diesel engine.
4.Replace loose fan belts or deformed fans:
Regularly check whether the fan belt of the diesel engine is loose and whether the fan shape is abnormal. Because the fan belt is too loose, it is easy to cause the fan speed to decrease, resulting in the radiator not being able to exert its due heat dissipation capacity, resulting in excessively high temperature of the diesel engine. In addition, the deformation of the fan will also cause the heat dissipation capacity of the radiator to not be fully utilized.
5.Remove debris attached to the surface of the radiator:
The most common phenomenon is the debris attached to the surface of the radiator. The attached debris will reduce the heat dissipation area of the radiator and the windward area of the radiator, which will reduce the heat dissipation capacity of the radiator and cause the high temperature of the diesel engine. Therefore, the radiator should be cleaned regularly.
6.Avoid poor coolant circulation:
Insufficient opening of the thermostat will reduce the heat dissipation capacity of the large cycle of the diesel engine cooling system. If the diesel engine is high temperature, you can put the thermostat into the water for heating inspection. Generally, the opening distance of the thermostat is 8-10mm.
Reminder: Poor performance of the water pump will reduce the flow of coolant, resulting in high temperature of the diesel engine. When checking the upper and lower water chambers of the radiator, the temperature difference between the upper and lower water chambers is generally 6 to 12 °C. If it is too small, the water pump can be replaced. Excessive scale will also affect the heat dissipation efficiency of the fins in the radiator and reduce the thermal conductivity of coolant and cold air. In this regard, the cooling system of the diesel engine should be cleaned regularly, and at the same time, the use of inferior coolant should be avoided to reduce the formation of scale.
